Structure

The whole story of fiction happens in a chronological order. Although a timeline has been established, the exact years are just approximate. There are 3 main story of fiction, Requiem of the Twilight Star, Prelude of the Midnight Sun, and Concert of the Morning Moon.

Distant past events

Distant past events occured on a long time before Twilight Star. At this time, Rephaites did not have as many race and faith as it is now. The majority of the race were humans and Tetragrammaton was the most spread faith.

The Story Begins

Seimei created pleasure dolls to work for the humans. The social impact became more complicated than he thought, and upon his death, he could not control the chaos that ensued. This was the event that led to the founding of Lost Illusion.

Events leading to the Twilight Star

The events leading to the first main chapter of fiction happened before Spica embarked on a journey to find the Dreamweaver. This is where the backstories of Twilight Star characters took place.

Love Flower

Honami, a vate inkeeper, parted with her best friend, Kaho. To fill the void in her heart, she decided to create a daughter using the vate creation spell. Although she was indecisive on what ingredient to use, she knew that her daughter's name would be "Manaka".

Portrait of Little Charmaine

Nero, a nobleman, bought an old painting for his wife. However, it turned out that the painting was haunted by a little vampire. Nero must choose between the temptation of the vampiress or his childless family.

Memories of the Days Gone by

Sauron watched his mother and sister leave his life. He did not seem to be upset, but he longed for a motherly image. One day, a vate entered his father’s land. Sauron was reluctant at first, but he began to open his heart to the vate.

Secret Promise

Perseonn, a young templar of Hellenian church, was on a mission to save a kidnapped daughter of a wealthy merchant. Unknown to him, he would make a promise which violated the fundaments of his faith.

Voice in a Heartbeat

A courtesan of Jarmuth met a hunter of Makkedah. They were both attracted to each other, but questioned themself whether or not love can bloom amidst the tension between the Kingdom of Jarmuth and the Empire of Makkedah.

Requiem of Twlight Star

Spica embarked on a journey to find the being who could grant extraordinary wishes named Dreamweaver. However, Spica was not good on finding her way around and she got lost. When asking a way on a town, she met a battle faerie named Sleipial. Sleipial was attracted to Spica's innocence and decided to help her, especially after she hear about the Dreamweaver. On their two-person journey, Sleipial began to develop a feeling for Spica. One day, they met a trojan knight named Rudolph, who mistaken them for someone else. When Rudolph came to his senses he apologized and offered them a help. Spica and Sleipial told him about the Dreamweaver and Rudolph immediately agreed.

Sauron left his family mansion as he was the last person there and sought for Dreamweaver in order to return something important that he lost. On his way, he accidentally tamed a stray harpy named Aello. Sauron decided to kept her as a familiar, whom he thought he might need. When he travelled town to town, he met a preachy templar by the name of Perseonn who happened to be seeking the Dreamweaver. While they were discussing about the whereabouts of the Dreamweaver, they rescued a shipwreck survivor who happened to be a pirate leader named Kirsche. After hearing Kirsche's story, Sauron and Perseonn decided to take Kirsche together with them to seek the Dreamweaver.

The two unlikely party met on a tavern. Spica realized that Sauron wield a scarf she was so familiar with, and Sauron recognized Spica's hair ribbon, whom he gave on his beloved a year before. Both of them introduced themselves to each other and later on introduced their traveling companions. After a discussion about their same destination, they decided go together to lowers the hardships they may encounter.

Each of the members wanted to ask a different wish. Spica would ask for "Opression", Sauron would ask for "Reincarnation", Sleipial would ask for "Salvation", Perseonn would ask for "Utopia", Rudolph would ask for "Retribution", and Kirsche would ask for "Reunion".

Prelude of the Midnight Sun

Pierce left the Goblin Forest and traveled to find an answer of his questions. On his way, he encountered a gothic little vampire named Blanche who was on her way to find her mother. Pierce offered help to to help Blanche, and Blanche, moved by Pierce's kindness, agreed to let pierce lend her a hand. In one of their visit to towns, they met a naga named Rebellia traveling to find a spell that change her snake tail into a pair of legs so that she get married to a prince of her dream. Seeing that Rebellia also needed help, Pierce also offered her a hand, in which she accepted right away since she had not make any travelling companion so far.

Aello had waited for days in front of the tower where Dreamweaver was. On the seventh day, the tower suddenly vanished. Thought that her master, Sauron, might be in danger, she decided that she need to find him. On her own journey, she met an elf who was seeking for the owner of a sword. The elf, Evangeline, told her that the owner's name was Spica. Aello asked her to travel together because what they are seeking would probably close to each other. After hearing Aello's story, Evangeline agreed. She also wanted to help Aello, since Aello would have so little option to communicate with the world. One day, they found a body of a young man lying on the road. It turned out that it was not a dead, only a starving vampire. After helping him to get blood, he introduced himself as Leonidas, who was on a journey to find her mother. Knowing that his mother name was Charmaine, Aello told him her encounters with the vampire swordslady and Leonidas decided to join Aello's party.

The two weird party met when they were raiding an old castle. Leonidas and Blanche were glad that they were reunited and introduced their traveling companion. It was not long before they learned about the Dreamweaver from Aello's story.

Each of the members was looking for different things. Pierce is searching for "Reason", Aello is searching for "Incubus", Blanche is searching for "Mother to Love", Evangeline is searching for "Temptation", Rebellia is searching for "Experience", and Leonidas is searching for "Mother to Protect" .

Events leading to Morning Moon

The events leading to the third main chapter of fiction happened after Pierce's encounter with the Dreamweaver and before Richter decided to start a journey to avenge his family.

Lullaby on the Gallows

A kingdom wanted to end piracy in their teritory by capturing the pirate leader. Hearing the decree, Perseonn went to the kingdom for the small chance of meeting with Kirsche. Their past finally caught up, however late it may be.

Tears in a Dying Spring

A Yaohu family, Su, arranged a marriage between their daughter, Xiaolin, and a son of Huang family, Qinglong. Xiaolin was vexed because she did not want to settle down yet. On other hand, a failed arrange marriage can be a disgrace to both families. Qinglong would need to reach Xiaolin's heart to save their marriage and the honor of both families.

Sign and Awaking

Four angels embarked on a journey to find the unnamed god of Tetragrammaton. What started as a religious journey for their faith, turned to be a critical moment for themselves, the very foundation of Tetragrammaton, and the whole Rephaites.

Michael informed them that he had found a lost scripture of Tetragrammaton that apparently spoke about the physical existence of the unnamed god of Tetragrammaton. Michael proposed a search journey to his friends, for the reason that if they can prove the physical existence of God, they can make Tetragramamton more than just a mythical faith to others, especially Hellenian.

Uriel was alone when she returned from her usual patrol. When she just took all of her armor off, Gabriel came into her room and told her that Michael have returned from his journey and he summoned her along with Raphael and Gabriel herself. Uriel did not bother to put on her armor and immediately went to meet Michael together with Gabriel. When she arrived, Raphael was already there. Michael informed them that he had found a lost scripture of Tetragrammaton that apparently spoke about the physical existence of the unnamed god of Tetragrammaton. Michael proposed a search journey to his friends, for the reason that if they can prove the physical existence of God, they can make Tetragramamton more than just a mythical faith to others, especially Hellenian.

Uriel have no hesitation in her heart. She immediately agreed to Michael's proposal. No one but her knew that the reason behind Uriel's motivation was that she wanted to meet she person the love the most.

Raphael hesitated a bit, but his thirst of knowledge bested him out. He agreed to Michael's proposal, knowing that he will learn more about God.

Concert of the Morning Moon

Richter went to a journey to avenge his family. He chose the Tserof Forest as his first dungeon, hoping to find the heroine inside the dark forest, as with all heroes in the fairy tales he had read.

Cathabell ran away from her house to pursue her dream and to free herself from her overprotective father. She knew that she has it all to become a heroine that fight evil, from her look to her ability.

Unfortunate for Cathabell, she was kidnapped to get ransom from her wealthy father. The kidnapping failed shortly, when Richter saved her. Cathabell wanted to pay the debt, and accompanied Richter in his journey, especially when she know she can be the emotional supporter for Richter's journey of revenge. She also did this because she believed that his is what all heroines do. After they searched for several days without any clue of the black caped man that burned Richter's village down, they noticed anomalies of the nature. Soon enough the landscape fell apart around them and they realized what that the world suddenly came to an end.

Cathabell was separated from Richter in the chaos and she felt unconscious. When she woke up, she was inside a library made of glass. Bewildered on how she ended up here, she picked up a book entitled "Hill of the Flower Guardian".

On other hand, Richter was saved from deterioration by an angel called Jee. The laid back angel was sure not Richter's first choice of comrade, but it was not like he has a choice. They managed to arrive at the Glass Library where Jee explained that a new world can be forged to one's image by reasoning with the Dreamweaver. Richter felt that the fate of the world resting on him and decided to help J-Man in restoring the world. He began his search in the library by picking a book entitled "JOKER".

Distant future events

Distant future events occurred on a long time after Morning Moon. At this time, Rephaites have once again repopulated by humans and other creatures had became a mere shadow of past, existing only in folklore.

Echo

Suzuka, a spirit summoner, investigated a case of possession. Along with her first contracted spirit, Poison, she discovered that the spirit was not an ordinary spirit, but a spirit of an ancient dragon, who killed the possessed upon exorcism. The dragon offered her his aid since somehow she was "The Key of Fiction". Suzuka accepted the offer, knowing that her order will hunt her down for her failure.
